My Name

I was named after the Egyptian queen of the gods and goddesses, Isis. Isis was a protective goddess. She used her magic to help others in need. Isis was the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus. "Isis" is the Greek form of an Egyptian word that is perhaps associated with the word for "throne."

One of Isis's symbols is the Isis knot (also called the tyet symbol or a blood of Isis amulet).

I think I am lucky to be named after such an interesting goddess.
